Substrate for acid plants

Composition
Blonde peat, vegetable compost, black peat, and coconut fiber. pH (H₂O) = 5 Conductivity (mS/m) = 50 Organic Matter/Dry Matter = 85% Bulk density = 0.35 kg/L

Dosage
Incorporate the substrate at planting time or when adding more substrate to a pot or planter. The procedures to follow in each case are:

TRANSPLANTING:

1. Remove the entire plant (with the root ball) from the pot.
2. Cut and remove the dead roots around the root ball. If transplanting the plant into a pot of the same size, it is necessary to cut up to two-thirds of the roots around the root ball.
3. To facilitate drainage, add a layer of gravel or ARLITA Decorative FLOWER balls and then place a bit of ACIDIC PLANT SUBSTRATE on top.
4. Position the root ball in the center of the pot, fill the sides with ACIDIC PLANT SUBSTRATE, compacting to avoid any empty spaces.
5. Settle the substrate with your fingers. It is recommended to maintain substrate moisture in the first few days to prevent plant dehydration.
6. Water.

ADDING SUBSTRATE:

1. Loosen the surface, removing about 5 cm of the current substrate.
2. Add ACIDIC PLANT SUBSTRATE, mixing it superficially with the previous one and settling it well with your fingers.

Uses
It is recommended to change the pot size every two or three years. The best time for transplanting is at the end of winter (March), although it can be done at any time of the year. To maintain the proper environment for acid-loving plants, the use of FLOWER ACIDIC PLANT SUBSTRATE is recommended.
