This alcaloid have been made popular by classical Sativa varieties with high percentages of THC and almost no presence of CBD. It is still under study the differences between the application of CBD from industrial hemp and CBD that comes from varieties with high presence of THC, because cannabinoids interact. Currently, in medical aplications, the THC has relaxing, analgesic and appetite-stimulating properties. THC has also shown to be useful in practical applications in posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), nausea and vomiting, asthma, glaucoma and sleep disorders.
